A Turkish influencer has been blacklisted by an airline for a full year after smoking on a plane and sharing the video on social media. The Turkish influencer, known as Erkan Toy, who has a million followers, filmed himself smoking inside the cabin of AJet, a Turkish low-cost carrier, according to the British newspaper The Sun. The shocking video shows him lighting a cigarette while the person sitting next to him tries to stop him. Within hours of the clip circulating online, AJet confirmed that the passenger has been blacklisted and will not be allowed to fly with the company for a full year. Turkish civil aviation law prohibits smoking or using e-cigarettes during a flight, and violators face a fine of up to 24,681 Turkish liras (equivalent to 415 pounds sterling). The airline also indicated that it is still considering whether to impose a financial penalty on the influencer.
