According to information from the newspaper "Sabah", the Turkish intelligence is preparing to send a plan to Lebanon for explosive "bumpers". It was noted that a similar pair of devices arrived in Turkey, which exploded in Lebanon on September 17-18. They initially tried to send them to Lebanon on September 27. 850 kilograms of cargo from Hong Kong arrived in Istanbul on September 16 on board the race. "Experts on explosive substances at the Istanbul airport examined the cargo and found that the boxes with the food contained 1300 automatic triggering devices ("bumpers") for Apple devices with charging devices, as well as 710 chargers for laptops, cables and batteries," the newspaper clarified. The cargo was handed over to the crime investigators for further investigation, during which explosive substances were detected in the battery block.

Soon after this, workers at the Istanbul airport removed another suspicious aircraft that had arrived from Taiwan and was headed to Beirut. However, no explosive substances were found during the inspection. The owner of the Turkish company that sent the shipment was questioned, but suspicions about his address were not confirmed.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu presented US President Donald Trump with a golden "bumper" as a sign of remembrance of the operation against "Hizbollah".
