Ankara, Dec 16 (Reuters) – Turkish security sources said on Saturday that head of Turkey's intelligence agency Ibrahim Kalin met with the head of Hamas in the Gaza Strip and chief negotiator Khaled Mashaal. They discussed the necessary measures for the transition to the second phase of the Gaza peace plan. Sources, who requested anonymity, clarified that Kalin also met with a Hamas delegation in Istanbul as part of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The meeting discussed steps necessary to prevent what the parties described as ceasefire violations by Israel. Without going into details, the sources added that they also discussed the necessary measures to resolve outstanding issues in preparation for moving to the second phase of the plan.
