Turkish Energy Minister: Oil and Gas Supplies Stable

Turkish Energy Minister Alp Arslan Berkdar stated on Wednesday that Turkey relies on Middle Eastern oil for only 10% of its total supplies, and there are currently no supply issues despite the war in Iran. Berkdar added in an interview with a program affiliated with the state-run Anadolu Agency that the war has caused a global energy security and supply crisis, but Turkey, a major energy importer sharing borders with Iran, has taken proactive steps to diversify its sources. When asked about natural gas, he confirmed that supplies from Iran have not been cut off so far.
