The athletics union has approved the participation of seven athletes in a training camp in Antalya, Turkey, from March 20 to April 13, preparing for the Gulf Beach Games in Oman and other upcoming championships.

The Association of Light Athletics approved the participation of a team of athletes and sportswomen in a training camp, which will be held in the Turkish city of Antalya from March 20 to April 13. This is a preparatory event before participating in the competitions of the Persian Gulf in Oman from April 5 to 11, the Asian Championship for athletes under 18 in Saudi Arabia from April 15 to 18, and the Gulf Championship in Qatar in May.

Among the participants: Salem Al-Muhbali, Salma Al-Mari, Mokhammad Adel (discipline – throwing), Maryam Karim, Suleiman Abdulrahman, Aminat Kamer-ed-Din, Abdullakh Mashikhur (discipline – sprint). Three of them, Salem Al-Muhbali, Salma Al-Mari, and Maryam Karim, continue their training in a training camp in Turkey before flying to Saudi Arabia on April 13 to participate in the Asian Championship.

The head of the delegation will be Dr. Mukhammed Abdul Mur, president of the association. The technical director of the team is Ali Hasan Gazvan, and the administrative leader of the women's team is Jamila Abdulla.

Member of the association's board, head of national teams and judges Ali Hasan Gazvan noted: "The training camp represents a key stage in preparation before the start of the competitions," indicating the "importance of such events for the development of athletes and the accumulation of competitive experience in interactions with representatives of other countries, which corresponds to the strategy of the association's management under the leadership of Dr. Mukhammed al-Mur."
