
In his speech in Stamboul, Turkish Minister of Trade Omar Bolat announced that the 'BRICS' group offered Turkey to join it as a partner participant. This proposal came in the context of the strengthening of Ankara's balance between its eastern and western relations.
Omar Bolat emphasized: 'We support dialogue and cooperation with different blocs and countries, we are working in this direction due to our geographical location.' The minister also noted the importance of balancing exports and imports to ensure the sustainability of the Turkish economy.
Bulut also pointed out that Turkey is working on increasing the volume of its foreign trade and diversifying its partners to overcome any challenges and problems.
