The Turkish Ministry stated on Friday that airstrikes had been carried out against Kurdish militants in northern Iraq last night. According to the results of the operation, it is reported to be a "successful neutralization" of a number of militants.
The ministry clarified that the strikes were conducted as part of the operation "Claw of the Tiger" to ensure the country's security by destroying the terrorists planning attacks on Turkish military targets.
Representatives of the ministry also added that the operation was conducted based on intelligence coordinates identified in advance, and that all specified targets were hit.
