
The President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated in the evening on Monday that his country will "continue to strengthen its historical and strategic ties with Ukraine." "We consider it important to maintain peace and stability in the region through the application of diplomacy and cooperation at various levels. We hope for further improvement of relations between Turkey and Ukraine," he emphasized.
Addressing the territorial conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Erdoğan expressed concern about the increasing tensions and stressed the importance of diplomatic regulation of the conflict. "Turkey supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. We call for a peaceful resolution to arising disputes and the regulation of the situation through dialogue," the president emphasized.
