On Sunday, Turkey announced that it eliminated 23 Kurdish militants in northern Syria, carrying out a new series of strikes against their positions.

According to Turkish military statements, the operation against militants began after "information about an impending attack". As a result of the conducted attack, 23 members of the militant group were neutralized. The Turkish army regularly conducts operations against the Kurdish opposition in northern Syria, which it considers to be a terrorist organization.

"We will continue to fight against all terrorist organizations that threaten our national security," emphasized the Turkish armed forces.
