During a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, U.S. Secretary of State Mark Rubio called for an "inclusive" transitional process in Syria. Turkey plays a key role in this region, therefore the opinions of its representatives hold significant importance.
Mark Rubio emphasized that the need for such a transitional phase in Syria is urgent and conditioned by a commitment to achieving sustainable peace in the region. He called for all interested parties to support this process and contribute to the resolution of the conflict.
In turn, the Turkish Foreign Minister expressed his country’s readiness to continue working towards a peaceful resolution of the situation in Syria. Turkey considers it important to maintain dialogue between the various conflicting parties and seek ways to achieve a peaceful compromise.
"We believe that only through united efforts and dialogue can we achieve stability in Syria and ensure the welfare of the people of this country," the Turkish Foreign Minister emphasized.
