Tragic Loss of Migrants in Turkey

Turkish authorities announced that six migrants died while trying to cross the Euphrates River in southeastern Turkey. Local residents discovered the bodies of four children and two women in the province of Van.

They were attempting to reach Turkey from Iran. Initially, one body was found, and then five more deceased individuals were discovered. Rescuers found the bodies of children aged 2 to 11 years, as well as women aged 22 to 30 years.

According to the statement of the official representative of the governor, all the deceased were Kurds trying to cross the river. An investigation is currently underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
