Data from the Turkish Statistical Institute showed that tourism revenues in Turkey grew by 3.9 percent and amounted to 23.22 billion dollars in the third quarter of the year.
These indicators confirm the recovery of the tourism industry in the country after the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Compared to the analogous period of the previous year, the number of foreign visitors increased by 22.6 percent, reaching a mark of 22 million people.
Tourism plays an important role in the economy of Turkey, which is why the country's authorities are actively working on the restoration of the sector. The stabilization of the situation with the pandemic facilitates a gradual increase in tourist flow, which positively reflects on tourism revenues.
