Turkey on Thursday urged the United States and Iran to adopt a reconciliatory approach in the upcoming talks in Islamabad, coinciding with a two-week ceasefire mediated by Pakistan. "It is extremely important that the parties adopt a reconciliatory, flexible, patient, and constructive approach to the talks that will begin in Pakistan," Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said at a joint press conference with his Syrian counterpart Asad al-Shibani in Ankara. Fidan also stressed that the ceasefire in the Middle East must cover Lebanon, which is still under intense and deadly Israeli strikes.
