Hundreds of angry civil servants took to the streets of Ankara on Wednesday demanding realistic salary increases amid their suffering from poverty amid double-digit inflation and rising prices. "We cannot survive on our current salaries," one protester stated. "The state must hear us." Protesters called on authorities to take urgent measures to improve their financial situation. They said current salaries do not even cover basic needs.
