Turkish Woman Claims Donald Trump is Her Father

A Turkish woman has filed a lawsuit in a family court in the capital Ankara, claiming that U.S. President Donald Trump is her biological father. She is demanding a DNA test to prove paternity, according to the Turkish IHA news agency. The lawsuit was submitted to the 27th Family Court in Ankara, but the lower court initially rejected the request, prompting the plaintiff to appeal the decision to a higher court. Thus, the case remains legally open without a final ruling. The plaintiff stated that if her paternity is confirmed, she would consider living with Trump while maintaining her ties to Turkey, where she was born and still resides. She began to doubt her biological origins after noticing discrepancies in her official birth records, as well as hearing family stories over the years. The plaintiff claims that her biological mother was an American woman named 'Sophia,' and that she was placed for adoption immediately after birth before being officially registered under another woman who had previously lost a child. In addition to legal proceedings in Turkey, the plaintiff clarified that she sent a legal petition to a family court in the United States through the relevant embassy, requesting the case to be heard there as well. She emphasized that her primary goal is to reach the truth through a DNA test, not to make political accusations, stressing that only a scientific conclusion can prove or disprove any biological relationship. In an interview with the IHA agency, the plaintiff said she was born in 1970 and began to suspect a possible connection to Trump after following media coverage of the U.S. election campaign in 2017. The woman who raised her told her during that period that Trump was her biological father, which she initially doubted. She also stated that she seeks to meet Trump personally if the claims are proven true, to find out if he was aware of her existence, and for his family to acknowledge her if her claim is verified. The plaintiff also sees a physical resemblance between herself, Trump, and some of his children, which encouraged her to proceed with the legal path. In this case, the plaintiff is also trying to follow a similar legal path in the United States through diplomatic channels. The plaintiff, a 55-year-old woman named Nejla Ozmen, resides in Ankara.
