Turkish media reported the crash of a Falcon 50 aircraft carrying Libyan government Chief of Staff Mohamed Al-Haddad. The plane was en route from Ankara to Tripoli but lost contact and reportedly crashed. The fate of the passengers and crew is still unknown.

Turkish media reports have stated that a Falcon 50 aircraft carrying the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Presidential Council, General Mohamed Ali Al-Haddad, has crashed. Turkish media reported on Tuesday evening that an aircraft carrying Chief of Staff of the government of Abdelhamid Dbeibeh, Mohamed Al-Haddad, crashed in Ankara. Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed the loss of contact with an aircraft carrying the Chief of Staff of Dbeibeh and four other people. He added on his account on X: "The aircraft was heading from Ankara to Tripoli and requested an emergency landing in the Ankara area, but contact was lost after that." Footage of an explosion in the area near the point where contact with the aircraft was lost was recorded. Reuters reported that flight tracking data shows the flight diverting away from Ankara airport. Libyan media revealed that Dbeibeh had formed a crisis cell to communicate with the Turkish side regarding the incident. Turkish media highlighted that Al-Haddad's aircraft crashed while en route from Ankara to Tripoli, and the fate of its passengers remains unknown. Earlier on Tuesday, Al-Haddad had held talks in Ankara with Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler and Chief of Staff Selçuk Bayraktar, which discussed military cooperation between the two sides.
